On August 15, India celebrates its Independence Day. The day is celebrated with much fervour throughout the country with flag-hoisting ceremonies, drills, cultural events, and the singing of the Indian National Anthem. As the country celebrates its 75th Independence day this year, Rohit Suchanti who plays the role of Rishi Oberoi in Zee TV show Bhagya Lakshmi, shares his memorable moments.
She said “I think we Indians are blessed with great ancestors who left us with a country with an incomparable history of glory and heartwarming sacrifices. As a child, I used to wait to celebrate this special day with my friends and family. In fact, our school used to be closed on Independence Day, so we would participate in the flag hoisting ceremony a day prior to that and on 15th August, my Dad made sure we sat and made paper flags and colored them as our Tiranga. I would actually feel proud when we used to take those flags out and distribute them in our locality. Here’s wishing everyone a very Happy Independence Day”
