On August 15, India celebrates its Independence Day. The day is celebrated with much fervor throughout the country with flag-hoisting ceremonies, drills, cultural events, and the singing of the Indian National Anthem. As the country celebrates the completion of 75 years of Independence this year, Bhavika Sharma, who plays the role of Santosh on the Sony Sab show Maddam Sir, shares her memorable moments.
Talking to IWMBuzz.com, she mentioned, “The spirit of patriotism towards our country shouldn’t be limited to just one day. There’s so much that each one of us can contribute on an individual level towards making the India of our dreams. On this Independence Day, let’s work to strive and achieve the ideals of true freedom and democracy. Let’s pledge to do our bit to ensure health, peace, and equality for all in every small way that we can individually contribute. Let’s truly take pride in being an Indian and spread the joy of the diverse and culturally rich heritage that we live in. Vande Mataram! Wishing all my fellow Indians a very Happy Independence Day.”
