Says Romanch, “Since childhood, I have always loved Bhagat Singh and his efforts. His charisma was unbeatable and at such a young age what he did for the country was remarkable; he will always be our hero.”

On the areas where he thinks we as individuals can strive hard to make the place that we live in better, Romanch avers, “I think the thoughts..we still have to change our thoughts. We are living in the 21st century and in many parts of our country, our thought process is completely different as far as seeing women’s independence. I always thought that God has given every individual one life to live, and why can’t every individual do what they love to do especially women..let them work, rise and shine.”

“As a citizen of our country, we can’t expect our government to do everything. As far as the most important thing is, cleanliness of our roads, our area, our parks are important. So it all starts from our home, if we keep our home clean, we won’t even make our streets dirty and even other public places. If every individual will take this responsibility to keep the area clean, very soon our environment and our country will be clean. Once Mahatma Gandhi said ‘Be the change that you want to see in the world’.”

On the slogan related to the freedom struggle that has inspired him, Romanch quips, “B R Ambedkar said Freedom of mind is real freedom..because the person whose mind is not free is not free. Your mind has to be at peace to get great thoughts and to feel free from inside. So I think living your life the way you want and doing what you love is your independence of thoughts and it genuinely gives you inner peace and freedom.”

Happy 75th Independence to all!!
