Ankita Bhargava and Karan Patel are enjoying parenthood with their daughter, Mehr. They are a happy family and often share their happiness through bytes and videos. Their daughter as they call her, ‘Rab Di Mehr’ has truly come as a sheer blessing in their lives.

On the occasion of Mother’s Day, we take the privilege of having Ankita Bhargava talking about her daughter, Mehr, and how as a mother she will like to see her daughter growing up.

Excerpts:

What has been your favorite moment as a mother?

Every moment, every milestone is my favorite. The first time Mehr latched to me, the day she actually called me Mamma, the way she wants only me when she is hurt or overwhelmed. All these are my favorite moments.

We are living amid the scare of the pandemic and it is but natural that mothers tend to get extra careful of their kids. So what has this tough phase taught you as a mother?

Ever since Mehr has come into this world, her safety, by all means, is my first priority. Because of this Covid-19 second wave, we don’t venture out at all. We take all safety precautions. I keep her engaged in activities; music and dance are our major stress busters. This tough phase has taught me to value health even more now. All the things that were taken for granted earlier should be given their due respect.

What are your plans with your loved ones on Mother’s Day?

Well if things were normal, I would have planned a nice mother-daughter play date with my friends who have kids. However, now because of the pandemic, I feel we will just do some fun stuff at home and chill.

What is your message to the lovely mothers out there on this special day?

Just hang in there and stay strong. Yes, the times are tough. But we have to sail through with a smile. Let our babies learn to smile through boredom too.

Create your own little wholesome world within your homes until this nightmare is over. You can research how to keep them busy, happy, and engaged and give them a variety of experiences as much as possible.

Happy Mother’s Day, folks!!
