Sapna Babul Kaa… Bidaai fame Sara Khan, who is currently seen in Sun Neo’s Chhathi Maiyya Ki Bitiya, is all about animal love and stands as an advocate against cruelty towards animals.

World Animal Welfare Day, was observed on October 4, and Sana has always raised her voice for the manner in which animals are treated.

She said on the occasion, “Lately, the way humans are treating animals has become a huge issue, especially with the rise of videos showing abuse going viral. It’s heartbreaking to see such cruelty. Personally, whenever I come across these videos, it deeply affects me. I believe animals deserve love, care, and respect just like any other living being.”

Sara also spoke in support of animal adoption and believes that they often go unnoticed because people look for high-quality breeds. While talking about dogs, she said, “So many beautiful, loving dogs are out there waiting for a forever home, but many go unnoticed because people often go for breeds. Adopting is such a wonderful option—it saves lives and brings a lot of happiness into your home.”

“When it comes to street dogs, I notice that while a lot of people want to help them, few actually take them in. They may feed them or care for them on the streets, which is great, but offering a home is something not many people consider,” she added.

Sara herself has a pet dog named Hatchiko. She called him the light of her life, and added, “He has added so much joy, comfort, and love to my world. Pets have this incredible ability to make your life feel complete—they are your best friends, always there for you.”

“Hatchiko has given me so many beautiful memories, and I can’t imagine my life without him,” she added.

But she stressed that keeping a pet doesn’t mean they can be used for social media likes or views. However, she added, “If you are genuinely sharing the love you have for your pet, that’s fine. It’s about forming a deep bond and taking responsibility for another life. But if it’s just for show or trends, that’s where it becomes questionable.”
