Tina Datta is an Indian actress who was born on November 27, 1991. She is primarily known for her roles in the Colors TV serial opera Uttaran as Ichcha and Meethi (2009-2015). In 2016, she took part in Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi. She starred in the spooky horror series Daayan and the mythological programme Shani.

Datta made her acting debut at the age of five in the television series Sister Nivedita. She went on to play the heroine’s daughter in films such as Pita Matar Santaan, Dus Number Bari, Sagar Kanya, and others. She appeared in Bengali soap operas such as Khela, in which she portrayed a thug hired by Dipankar De to spy on his daughters-in-law, Sudipta and Durga.

Datta starred alongside Aishwarya Rai in Rituparno Ghosh’s 2003 film Chokher Bali. She went on to play young Lalita in the 2005 film Parineeta.

Datta portrayed a black magic victim in one of Colors TV’s Koi Aane Ko Hai tales.

Datta was cast as an adult Ichcha in the 2009 Indian television series Uttaran, replacing Sparsh Khanchandani, for which she received considerable acclaim and recognition. The plot revolved around two friends, Ichcha and Tapasya, who were from different social classes. Uttaran helped Indian television break into new worldwide markets, making Datta a household name far beyond the country’s borders. The chemistry between Datta and Nandish Sandhu was highly applauded. Datta got multiple awards and nominations for Uttaran, and she also portrayed her on-screen daughter Meethi.
