It is an honor to be part of Brahmarakshas 2: Ashish Kaul

Ashish Kaul the senior actor gets back to the Balaji Telefilms family with Brahmarakshas 2 the newly launched supernatural on Zee TV.

Ashish who played father to Pearl V Puri in his earlier show Bepannaah Pyaar, gets yet another opportunity to play father to Pearl in Brahmarakshas 2.

Says Ashish, “Brahmarakashas 2 is my second show after lockdown post Pavitra Bhagya. The unit is the same as Bepannah Pyaar; hence the environment is comfortable. Brahmarakashas 2 story is very vast, with a mega star cast. Actors like Chetan Hansraj, Rupa Divetia, Papia Segupta are in the show. These are actors of 25 years of experience. I had earlier worked with Rupaji and Chetan in Kkusum. It is an honour to be part of the show and to work with them again in a different role. We have the full support of the production and experiment a lot with scenes.”

Talking about playing father to Pearl again, Ashish says, “Pearl is such a lovely boy. Whenever I see him, he hugs me like my own son Vivaan who is 20 years old. We bonded very well in Bepannah Pyaar. He is a private person, but he does allow one to get into his territory and takes good care. He makes all efforts to make the entire team comfortable. I have also asked him to talk to my son and guide him. He has a direct contact with my son (smiles). I do see my own son in Pearl.”

The USP as per Ashish of Brahmarakshas 2 is, “The graphics used are of high quality. We are creating lot of different locations. The grandeour is huge and this will be the USP of the show.”

Talking of his role, Ashish states, “He is a father who is very casual going with his children. He helps them to get their choices. He is a very loveable character. He wants to fulfil the promise given to his friend and even overdoes it, and gets scolded by his wife. My character is modern, but is connected to his roots.”

Ashish Kaul who is a mentor to many young actors has in fact groomed Nikki Sharma, the lead of Brahmarakshas 2 on the set of Roop Mard Ka Naya Swaroop. “Nikki Sharma is my protégé. We did Roop together. She went abroad post that. She stays very close to my place. So we are in touch even when we are not shooting. I am still mentoring her in my own way. I am very happy for her. Nikki has grown into a very good actor.”

“I have been training lot of new talents, more from the B-town. My latest is a girl from Amravati, Khushi Kariya who is the grand daughter of Raju Kariya. I have one girl from Assam, and she is being trained for web-series. I have boys from Lucknow, Agra, Delhi. The good feeling I have about the youngsters is that they are very sharp. They are very good learners. There is a boy Adhvik who is 8 years old and is from Lucknow. He can narrate monologues of three pages at one time. New talent needs to understand that acting needs to be taken as a profession, rather than a hobby. They need to be serious about it if they want to become an actor. Patience is a problem with such kids and I advice them to wait for the right time.”
