I was hungry to get back with a good character and story: Avinash Sachdev

Avinash Sachdev who plays the lead in &TV’s Main Bhi Ardhangini gets into an exclusive conversation with IWMBuzz.com.

Talented actor Avinash Sachdev has ended the long wait of his fans with his return to TV with &TV’s new show, Main Bhi Ardhangini produced by Essel Vision Productions.

Says Avinash, “The role of Madhav Singh Thakur has quite a lot of shades in him. As of now, he is seen as the man who refuses to come out of the sorrow of losing his wife Chitra (Anjali Priya). Soon, his childhood friend Vaidehi (Aditi Rawat) will get back in his life, and will help him in moving ahead in life.”

Talking about his character, Avinash avers, “Madhav is a very nice person who cannot stand anything wrong. He is very protective about his family. Even after a year of his wife’s passing away, he has not been able to come to terms with it. He is not ready to give his life another opportunity, and does not allow anyone else to do that for him. On the other side, Vaidehi wants Madhav to be happy and can do anything for it. With the story opening up, viewers will see Madhav moving ahead in life. He is certainly not a boring character.”

Main Bhi Ardhangini is the remake of the successful Tamil show, Yaaradee Nee Mohini. “The makers gave me the option to watch few episodes of the Tamil show. However, I chose not to. I wanted to play the character in the way I perceived it. And on hearing the story, I understood that Madhav is the central character who is connected to all other characters in the story. I would not have agreed to move out of Mumbai and shoot in Jaipur, if not for the story and conviction.”

Talking about life in Jaipur, away from the busy life of Mumbai, Avinash states, “I get a relaxed feeling and I love the vibe of the city. It is less chaotic, and there is no traffic. We have been given a building with four floors where cast and crew of Main Bhi Ardhangini and the Zee TV show Rajaa Betaa reside. Thankfully for me, not only the cast but the crew of the show are very close. I don’t feel homesick at all. I might miss my friends in Mumbai, but do not miss the city.”

On the expectations he has from the show, Avinash explains, “My fans have been waiting for long to see me. I was also eager to get back with a very strong character. You can say that I was hungry to get back with a good character and story. Thankfully I got this show.”

Ask him about the limited reach of Channel & and he says, “I am not thinking about it. I need to be satisfied with my own work. I am happy to be part of a good concept. When I pack up and go home, I feel satisfied and I cannot ask for more.”

On the response to his character till now, the talented actor who has entertained one and all with shows Chotti Bahu, Qubool Hai, Baat Humari Pakki Hai, Ayushman Bhava etc tells us, “Touchwood, the response has been really good. I can see that people have started drooling over my character. I can only assure all that the character will have quite lot of shades which will make him all the more interesting.”

As an important message to his fans, Avinash states, “I want to reiterate the fact that our show is not a horror show. Yes, with the supernatural element being present, the feel of horror is present as of now. But that will slowly change. Usually the supernatural power happens to be the villain of the show. But that is not the case in our show. The main negative character is Madhav’s mother and the supernatural element here is positive. She will always guard Madhav and save him from evil.”

Avinash, wish you all the very best!!
