Pranali Rathod the talented and popular actress who enthralled one and all with her performance as Akshara in Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, has finally given her fans a big reason to smile, with her new launch on Colors, titled Durga. Durga, produced by Leena Gangopadhyay, is a love story with a strong social message. It has Aashay Mishra playing the lead opposite Pranali.
In a candid interaction with IWMBuzz.com, Pranali talked about the show where she said, “I was excited about the show from the moment I was narrated the concept. I am a big fan of Leena Gangopadhyay Ma’am. When I heard the story, I loved it. Overall, there is drama, love, comedy and social messages. It is a complete package that the show offers. The team is very nice. The writing value of the show is very good.”
On the attributes of Durga that Pranali likes, she said, “She is very strong-minded. Talking about my costume, the best part of my costume is that it is beautiful as well as comfortable. Nothing is uncomfortable, even the jewellery given. I can sleep too with my costume on. Above all, this look makes me look pretty.”
Pranali recollected the outdoor sequences that they shot in Jodhpur saying, “Jodhpur is very beautiful. I had dreamt of seeing the dunes. Ghanta Ghar the famous market place is also an important destination. We shot at the place and shopped a lot too.”
On her rapport with co-star Aashay Mishra, Pranali averred, “We are good friends. We keep annoying each other.”
