I am a very selfish actor: Varun Kapoor

Varun Kapoor talks about his new small screen endeavour

Television’s chocolate boy Varun Kapoor is known for his role in shows like Swaragini, Na Aana Is Des Laado and Saraswatichandra, is all set to be back on small screen.

The smarty, who can make any girl go weak on her knees with his charming looks and sparkling smile, will be now donning the avatar of a doctor for Colors’ upcoming show Savitri Devi College and Hospital.

Talking about his new role, Varun says, “My character Veer is a complete prankster but a genuine human being. He’s not very serious when it comes to work, but is a quick learner. Saachi (SwardhaThigale) is his favourite target because she falls for his tricks and pranks. However, there is something mysterious about Veer and no one seems to know what it is.”

Varun, who will be seen as a doctor on screen, never wanted to become one in real life. Varun avers: “I never imagined to become a doctor in real life. During my childhood days, I was interested in sports along with studies.”

Savitri Devi is Varun’s second outing with Rashmi Sharma Productions and he is glad to be a part of the project. “I strongly believe that an actor is popular only which he/she gets to enact the perfect role. I am a very selfish actor; I only like good stories and characters to portray on-screen. I don’t think apart from Rashmi Sharma Productions anyone creates good content on TV.  I am happy to be a part of their shows.”

On an ending note, when we ask Varun if he fears getting typecast as a chocolate boy of small screen and does he wish enacting negative roles on TV, he quips, “I am open to all genres. I can play the role of a beggar too. I think it only depends on the character. I believe in learning and experimenting new things so I am ok with all challenging roles.”

We wish you good luck for your new show Varun.
