Priyal Gor is quite happy with her SAB TV show Ichhapyaari Naagin. She gets chatty with Indianwikimedia. “I am really enjoying playing shape shifting naagin. It is a very different journey for me. I always like to play characters which I enjoy.”
Talking about the set up (Alchemy Productions) she says, “The entire cast is like a family, it does not seem like mere work, there is great bonhomie. My on screen pairing with Mishkat Varma is superb, he always pulls my leg,” she shares.
She is also happy that unlike her previous shows Ram Milaayi Jodi and Dekha Ek Khwaab, which were dogged by controversy , there has been no negative news regarding her throwing tantrums etc in this tenure.“ We have a very chilled outset, there are no fights even among technicians, save the small 15 seconds tiffs which happen every here. I have been lucky this time around. People have also realized that all what was said is not true. ”
Here, she also admits that over time she too has matured as a person, “But yes, I am not that type of person who will take things lying down. I will give as good as I get. Luckily here no such things have happened provoking me to retaliate, but if in the future I am again compelled I will not hold back either .”
Looking ahead Priyal would not mind doing more south films (two films released, third to hit the theaters. “The canvas is huge, plus TV is also booming. As for Bollywood, I think not yet. ”
In closing, Priyal gives a matter of fact reply when you point out that ratings of Ichhapyaari Naagin are not great, “I am getting paid well, so why should I bother? Anyways ratings are not in my hand, they are better dealt with by channel and the production house.”
