Actor Ashita Dhawan is enjoying her stint in the Dangal TV show Sindoor Ki Keemat. She is happy that her work is being noticed and is garnering appreciation from fans.
Says Ashita, “The one thing that people have told me is that whenever I come on screen is that I light up everything, which means a lot to me. Whether I am doing something big or not, it’s just my presence that matters so much to them. It means so much to me that they like my vibe and energy a lot,” she says.
Ashita likes the look that she has been given in the show. “I take exactly 30 minutes to get dressed in my look. The looks are suiting me well and the entire process of getting ready is stress-free for me. My makeup artist and costume designer are great too!”
Talking about the hardship of shooting daily, Ashita avers, “Daily soaps require a lot of hard work, 14 hours of shooting. I am lucky with my travel time because it takes me only 10 minutes to reach,” she says.
“I don’t carry my character home. In fact, the way I am at home, is the same way I am on set too. I think I carry my vibe and aura along. I am very funny, loving, and enthusiastic which makes me vibe with everyone. As for the camera, as soon as it is switched on, I come into character,” she says.
Ashita who is very natural and spontaneous as an actor, further explains, “I don’t think too much about a scene, I don’t get so involved that it affects me mentally and emotionally. Even if I am doing an emotional scene, it goes on only till the start and end of the shoot. It just takes me a minute for me to change my mood. I never take my set emotions with me, home, or vice-versa.”
While she is not at work, Ashita indulges in a series of activities which are sheer fun. “I do a lot of things off-camera like making content for Instagram and YouTube. I keep editing my videos and stuff. My first unit is Sindoor ki Keemat and second unit is my own content-making. I also include my co-actors in my videos for social media. Shehzad, Vaibhavi and Prateik are always happy to be a part of my videos and reels which makes me happy,” she says.
