Yogendra Vikram Singh’s exit from the popular Star Plus show Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin has been heart-breaking for the audience!! The death of Samrat in the show has brought tears to the eyes of the loyal watchers.

This means it is the end of the wonderfully etched character of Samrat, who was a loving son, dutiful brother and an honest family man. Yogendra has essayed this character to the ‘T’. The audience loved every close bond that he shared with his onscreen family members.

We at IWMBuzz.com talked to Yogendra on his exit from the show, and we could sense that he was visibly upset about not being part of the show and not anymore playing the character that he excelled in.

Yogendra told us, “The journey of Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin has been a fruitful one for me. Honestly speaking, when I get into a project, I never think of the result. I sincerely put my head into it and work towards getting perfection. Even when this journey in the show started, I never knew the character of Samrat will touch so many hearts. Today, I am glad that I could play the character sensibly, and am happy that it has made people emotional.”

“It has been an emotional journey, if I look back and realize the takeaways I have got from the show. The show has made me a household name on Hindi TV. I will be grateful to the channel and production house for this. Also, the love that I have got from fans and media has been admirable,” he stated.

“Shooting with the cast and crew has been like being with family. So it is really painful to be leaving them and moving out,” stressed the actor.

After watching the bromance of the brothers Jeeva and Shiva, it was wonderful to watch a sibling chemistry between Samrat and Sai this time around. “Blood relationships are not under our control. But such relationships that we choose for ourselves are always special. This bond between Samrat and Sai was one such, and was special. It was pure love between Sai and Samrat.”

When asked about what he will miss the most, Yogendra explained, “I will miss my co-actors. I will also miss Samrat.”

The talented actor who has been a part in films Saand Ki Aankh, Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl etc, will now be seen on the web space with a few projects. When asked about the attribute learnt from Samrat, Yogendra was quick to say, “I will want to be as mature as Samrat. He saw so much happening in his life, yet he kept his family at high priority always. I have been very much satisfied with the character graph that I have seen in the show. The role had everything in it, drama, action, romance, brotherhood, sister-brother love. A lot of credit has to be given to the writers and screenplay writers. I got great lines. The success of the character was all about teamwork.”

This means that Yogendra can look forward to more work on varied platforms and mediums. “I have Bindiya for MX Player. I have a major part in this family drama cum politics based series. I have signed up for two seasons, in fact. So let us see how it works out.”

Best of luck, Yogendra!!
