Anuj Khurana the talented actor is enjoying his negative stint in Colors’ supernatural weekend show Naagin 6 presently. Earlier, Anuj was part of the comedy show Kabhi Kabhie Ittefaq Sey wherein he had a fun-loving role. Anuj who plays a father figure in Naagin 6 is very much happy about his role, and the scope that it is offering him.
Also, he is not worried that he is playing a role where his screen age is way above what he is in real life. At a phase where many actors are reluctant in playing a role beyond their age, Anuj feels comfortable being in this zone.
Says Anuj, “I am not bothered about the screen age which I play in Naagin 6. It is a very good character that has been given to me. If the makers and channel believe that I can pull it off, I am glad to be accepting it. I am not reluctant at all to play the age that I am doing in Naagin 6. It is just a character that you play and nothing will change in your personal life, isn’t it?”
“Happy to have bagged this role of Ranjeet Raichand. Frankly, I look at the depth that the character has got. I play a negative shade and there is a lot of scope on offer. It is challenging as I have moved from the zone of comedy (Kabhi Kabhie Ittefaq Sey) to this supernatural thriller concept. I am happy with the way my role is panning out in Naagin 6,” he adds.
Anuj also points out that every medium has a pattern that it follows, and that he is happy to have got a taste of all of it as a performer. “While movies and web requires a different kind of preparation, TV needs more consistency. Actors need to have the same level of energy, and motivation for a scene that gets shot over many days. As an actor, one needs to adapt to these varied platforms and give our best.”
Well-said, Anuj!!
