Colors popular show Balika Vadhu 2 saw a big leap. In an exclusive conversation with IWMBuzz.com, Samridh opened up about playing Jigar on the show and shared his views on child marriage.

He said, “I am really excited to join the cast of the show. Balika Vadhu is a successful household show and viewers have showered immense love on it. Everything is amazing hence I am really looking forward to this new journey in my career. I just hope that my performance is convincing and connects with viewers. I like to take up versatile characters. In this show, my role will have various shades which I will portray during the course of the show.”

Talking about his character, he added, “Portraying a complicated character like Jigar is a big challenge and has many shades to it. To get into the skin of the character, I have shaved after 2-3 years. This is something I did for the role. I will also go lean to give a younger look to the show. As the character is grey, I am trying to get the expressions right. Jigar is very different from what I am. In real life, I am a very calm and positive guy. I am also very happy-go-lucky. I enjoy life to the fullest.”

Sharing his views on child marriage, Samridh mentioned, “Anything that is forced on anyone should not be encouraged. I personally believe, be it marriage, or studies or any kind of course that a parent wants its kid to take up, should have consent. Forcefully making someone do something is wrong. Marriage is an important decision of our lives, and you cannot just get your child married to someone at an age where they don’t even understand the concept of marriage. Child marriage is something I don’t encourage and I am totally against it.”
