Rohit Suchanti talks about his new show Bhagya Lakshmi

Rohit Suchanti, who made his television debut as a child artiste in the show Saas Bina Sasural in 2010, has come a long way. The actor later entertained masses in shows like Saath Nibhaana Saathiya, Sasural Simar Ka, Pyaar Tune Kya Kiya, Dil Yeh Ziddi Hai and became a household name. Now, the actor is gearing up for his new show Bhagya Lakshmi on Zee TV produced by Balaji Telefilms.

Talking about the show, Rohit said, “I am really excited about the show. I haven’t seen myself on-screen for a long time so couldn’t have asked for anything else. I am happy to be back on TV screens with a Balaji show. My character is that of a rich industrialist. He is very driven in life and loves his work. I am also a motivated person and can relate to this character. It feels nice to play something which you actually are in real life. I don’t take the pressure of TRP. I feel those people take the pressure, who are under-confident. I am very confident about the show and myself. I know I have to give my best and I am doing the same. We have worked really hard on this project so I hope the audience accepts us and gives us their love.”

When asked about the preparation for the role, he added, “I had put on weight during lockdown so I had to lose those extra kilos. I lost a few kilos and I am still in the process. There is a drastic change from when I had auditioned to now when I’m playing the role. This was the only challenge that I faced.”

Commenting on the work environment during COVID-19 the situation, he mentioned, “I have not found a major difference as we have all taken the vaccine. We feel safer now. Having said that, we take utmost care on the set with all the precautions. Now, the situation is also getting better so hopefully, we will get back to normal very soon.”

Rohit feels Aishwarya Khare is apt to play the titular role of Lakshmi, he shared, “I am fortunate to have Aishwarya as my co-star. She is sweet, emotional, and a very nice person. She is apt to play Lakshmi as she is exactly like her on-screen character. Aishwarya thinks about others and wants everyone to be happy.”
