Young lad Ankit Gupta, who is known for his roles in Channel V’s Sadda Haq and Sony TV’s Kuch Rang Pyar Ke Aise Bhi, is currently seen as Fateh in Colors TV show Udaariyaan. The daily is touching new heights of popularity and Ankit is basking in the glory of its success.
In conversation with IWMBuzz.com, Ankit shared about his journey and experience with the project, upcoming twists in the storyline, shoot during the pandemic and more. Read on:
How has the journey been with the show so far?
It has been an amazing experience especially because we are shooting in Chandigarh. We started the shoot in extreme winter and now summer, I am enjoying all weather conditions here. I am the kind of person who doesn’t look forward to the destination but the journey. Whatever ups and downs I face, I enjoy them and take them positively.
The show is now gearing up for a high point revolving around the wedding drama, how excited are you to shoot the same and what can audiences look forward to?
I am very excited as this drama will definitely keep audiences hooked. With such sequences, as an actor you get to do a lot of things. You get to see variations in the character graph. I always look forward to performing something I have never done. This wedding drama has given me an opportunity to explore more. I am sure audiences will enjoy this amazing ride.
You have been winning appreciation for your role. How does it feel? Share best compliments received so far?
It is an overwhelming feeling. When you continuously shoot, there comes a time when you feel physically, emotionally, and mentally drained but when you see people appreciating your work then you feel all refreshed. We always aim to work harder for our amazing fans. The best compliment that I ever got is that I can act through my eyes.
What would be Ankit’s reaction if he would have trapped in a similar situation like Fateh?
I would also act the same way as Fateh. For me, love is very important. I am also a very emotional person. I would also go to any extreme to get my love. In this case, Ankit and Fateh are the same.
How has your experience been working with your co-stars?
It has been a wonderful experience and I made some amazing friends. My bonding with my team is great. Be it my heroines Priyanka and Isha or my on-screen brothers, we all bond very well.
Recently, the show was the slot leader, how do you feel when audiences shower love on your show?
It is always good to be loved and appreciated. When we learnt that we are slot leaders, it was very surprising for all of us. It is the only show on Colors that is a slot leader, right now. It feels good when people shower their love. The entire team’s hard work is noticed, so it is overwhelming.
How difficult it is to shoot during this pandemic?
To be very honest, it is a little difficult. There are a lot of precautions and safety measures that we have to take. It becomes difficult when you are surrounded by people, performing your scenes. You can’t always wear a mask while shooting. Rest, everything is fine and we are doing our best.
