Young and talented actor Aashay Mishra, who has entertained the masses in projects like Pyaar Ke Papad, Shubh Laabh – Aapkey Ghar Mein, and Story 9 Months Ki, is excited about returning to screens with a new show. The popular star will be seen playing the lead in Colors TV’s upcoming show Agnisakshi… Ek Samjhauta.

The show follows the journey of Satvik Bhosle and Jeevika Rane, played by Aashey Mishra and Shivika Pathak respectively who unexpectedly cross paths and get entangled in a relationship of compromise. Thrilled about the show, Aashay said, “I was very excited when I was approached for the role. It is a remake of a hit Kannada serial Agnisakshi, so you have an idea about the storyline and character. Having said that though it is a remake, the execution and treatment given to this daily are completely different. It is a family drama that revolves around two different personalities who belong to different cultures. How they still meet and come together is what the story is all about. The show has an intriguing storyline and I am confident the viewers will be hooked. Hence, I was thrilled to come on board.”

Aashay further spoke about his character, “I am essaying the character Satvik Bhosle who has a prismatic personality, a wizard in the line of business, a succeeder in life and an absolute family man. He is like this because the past events that happened in life have made him like this. Satvik is a layered character. I am looking forward to this new journey and hope the viewers embrace me in this role.”

As Agnisakshi’s set is in Bangalore, Aashay reveals how much he misses Mumbai. “I do miss Mumbai as we are shooting in Bangalore. Having said that, I am enjoying the weather here. It is cold and pleasant which makes the shooting experience more fun. I also visited Chandigarh and met the Udaariyaan team. I must say this place has stolen my heart with its vibes and culture. What I loved the most was the hot Gajar Ka Halwa and Gajak, which are quite famous in North India.”

Good luck Aashay!
