Rhea Sharma is the latest sensation on Indian television. The talented lady is currently seen as the female lead in Star Plus’ popular show Diya Aur Baati season 2 titled Tu Sooraj Mein Saanjh, Piyaji from the stables of Shashi Sumeet Mittal Productions.
Rhea had to face the challenge of living up to the expectations and competition to match the popularity of season 1 lead character, Sandhya depicted by Deepika Singh.
“There was competition but we worked hard. I am glad that audience has accepted us. There was a lot of pressure due to the legacy but now it’s an easy flow,” says Rhea in a chat with Indianwikimedia.
She continues, “I did watch Diya Aur Baati season 1 and liked it. I feel we are working as a team and delivering the right content.”
Rhea is seen as Khanak in the show, a young married woman. However, in real life she is a teenager. She shares, “My character is well etched and is not scared to face the world. When I was offered Khanak I gave a nod as I was not scared of being typecast. Till date, it’s been a great journey and we thank everyone for all the love and support.”
