National Pet Day, observed annually on April 11, serves as a heartfelt reminder of the joy, healing, and comfort that pets bring into our lives. With their soothing purrs and spirited welcomes, along with their playful and often hilarious antics, pets transcend the role of mere companions—they become cherished members of our families. This special day invites us to reflect on the everyday magic they infuse into our routines, their unwavering loyalty, and the emotional support they offer, often without uttering a single word. To highlight the significance of these bonds, Akanksha Chamola who plays the role of Manvi in Zee TV’s Kaise Mujhe Tum Mil Gaye shares her personal experiences, shedding light on the irreplaceable connections she has formed with her cute animal companions, celebrating the unique love and companionship they offer.

Akanksha Chamola who essays the role of Manvi in Zee TV’s Kaise Mujhe Tum Mil Gaye says, “My pets Sparky and Mowgli are my little bundles of love who make every moment special. Growing up, my dad, brother, and I always rescued and nurtured animals and birds in our home, which sometimes resembled a zoo.”

Since we rescued our dog, Sparky, 13 years ago, he has been with me through thick and thin. After getting married, this passion continued with my husband, and together we adopted our cat, Mowgli,” she says of this ever-growing love for pets.

Talking further, Ananksha says, “I have always been an animal lover, and animal welfare is very dear to my heart. That’s why we are working towards building a community that protects and cares for animals.”

After a long day on set, the one thing I look forward to most is coming home to my cat and dog—before even my husband (laughs). No matter how tired or stressed I am, their love instantly lifts my spirits. Something I also follow is a vegan lifestyle to make sure I do not consume any products which are from animal sources. National Pet Day is a beautiful reminder to cherish these amazing creatures who bring so much joy, laughter, and warmth into our lives,” she ends with her emotions being high.
