Gaurav Wadhwa, who is seen as Vicky in Zee TV’s Jamai No. 1, which is produced by Studio LSD, feels a show must have twists and turns to make it more engaging for the audience.

He said, “If everything in a storyline is smooth and perfect, it can become monotonous for the audience. Just like in real life, ups and downs are essential in a character’s journey to keep the audience engaged and make the character more relatable.”

He is happy with how the show is progressing and shared that they have received positive feedback from the audience. He added, “There’s so much positivity on set, and the entire team is working hard. We’re committed to putting in even more effort, and I truly hope this show continues to do well and runs for 3-4 years.”

He also teased that as the story moves forward, the audience can expect some exciting twists and surprises from his character. He said, “Every year, I’ve taken on new and different characters, exploring diverse shades—whether it’s positive, comic, or even negative. I am looking forward to showcasing even more layers to my character this year.”

He also feels that while the lack of personal time can sometimes affect their professional life, he stressed that a positive outlook can make a difference. “While the tight schedules are demanding, I think when you enjoy your work and have a passion for it, the balance naturally falls into place,” he said.

Gaurav is constantly looking to grow as an actor and said, “Over the years, I’ve explored different genres and roles, and for the last two years I have played negative characters. But there’s still so much more to learn and achieve. This year, I plan to learn martial arts, and as soon as I can find some time, I’ll start taking classes to add a new dimension to my skill set.”
