I hope this year a girl wins Khatron Ke Khiladi: Hina Khan

Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai fame Hina Khan has come back as a changed person post her Khatron Ke Khiladi jaunt in Spain and in a chat with IndianWikiMedia she says that she has discovered a lot about herself in the journey.

“I am always cool about heights, my biggest phobia is was about the crawling creatures (rats, snakes, worms etc). The best part of KKK was discovering my inner strength which kept me going and I completed all my stunts.  It was not easy to say the least, I would spend a lot of time just thinking what would it be like when the reptiles crawl all over.  I would get up having similar nightmares but I am glad that I walked the talk and this gives me a lot of peace and satisfaction. This will hold me in good stead for future assignments as well.”

Looking ahead, Hina will take a couple of months break to recoup from the very physical KKR routine. “I need to take care of myself.  But the offers have already started pouring in. I will sift the best from the lot,” she shares.

Hina, who had done Yeh Ristha for eight long years, does not feel that the four months gap after her stint in iconic Star Plus ended was enough. “It should have been longer.  Now KKK will run for two or three months so there is no out of sight for my fans.”

Hina, who got bit by a viper, says, “This season the girls (Nia Sharma, Shibani Dandekar, Geeta Phogat and Monica Dogra) have upped their game giving the boys (Rithvik Dhanjani, Karan Wahi and Ravi Dubey) a real run for their money.  I hope this year a girl wins and create KKK history.  Here, I must credit host Rohit Shetty who kept us egging on when we start to lose our nerve, saying don’t give up.”

Hina, who played a glorious demure bahu to the hilt, says an actor should always go beyond. “This is not my attempt to break an image. Rather I view it as offering my viewers a new Hina and if done convincingly, I am sure they love as much as before.”

Khatron Ke Khiladi starts on 22 July 2017, every Saturday and Sunday at 9:00 pm on Colors.
