How does it feel to be a part of the show?
It feels amazing, to say the least. My mom was a big fan of the first season of this show that aired almost a decade back. So to be a part of the second season of the show is one of the happiest moments of my life.
Tell us, how’s it been playing Shubham so far?
It is really amazing. Shubham is a character with various shades. Pre-leap he was a completely different character and post-leap he became a different layered character. So, playing Shubham has given me a lot of scope to explore and experiment with a wide range of emotions. I enjoy playing this character.
What has been the most challenging bit about the character you are playing?
The most challenging thing I would say was to be in a very different avatar after the leap as some of the characters changed, as per the script. So I had to make sure that the audience accepted the new version of Shubham Kapoor.
Do you find any similarities between you and your character?
Yes. At the end of the day, there are a few emotions that are the same for me as well as my character. But the circumstances change it for everyone. So in some way, I may say I can relate to the character according to situations and his reactions.
Your show Bade Acche has been immensely loved by the audience. Do you think it has proved pivotal for your career?
Ekta Kapoor ma’am gave me an opportunity to be a part of Bade Acche Lagte Hai 2. She gave me this role and it is a big thing for me. I owe my career to her. And yes, this show has been a pivotal one in my career.
How has your experience been working with co-stars?
Everyone on the set is amazing. It’s been wonderful to work with a talented bunch of people. Nakuul Mehta and I have a common connection because we have done our training with the same drama school. He is a very calm and soothing person. It is really refreshing to work with everyone.
Any final message for fans?
I would like to say that just keep supporting as you always have been.
