Actress Adrija Roy, who plays the role of Raahi in Rajan Shahi’s Star Plus show Anupamaa, is excited about the romantic angle in the show. She feels that the romantic angle seems intriguing and fresh for the audience. She adds that she was hesitant as people generally don’t accept such changes on the show easily.
Talking about the love track introduced in the show of Raahi and Prem (Shivam Khajuria), she says, “It is going well. After a month, the audience is responding well—not just well, but very positively. Our fan pages are liking it, loving it, and even editing our videos etc. So yes, everything is going great now, and I just hope it keeps getting better. That’s all I would like to say.”
Fans are talking about the new cast on social media. Talking about the same, she says, “I react very positively to the positive comments. As for negative comments, I usually avoid looking at them—why focus on negativity? As I have said before, negative comments are expected to some extent, especially in the case of a replacement. But that’s fine; it’s normal. Every person who steps in as a replacement takes time to be accepted by the audience. But once the acceptance happens, it’s all good. For us, receiving positive comments and love is very encouraging. It feels amazing to create something that people appreciate. After all, who wouldn’t feel good about receiving love from their audience? It’s a wonderful feeling.”
Talking about working with Rajan Shahi and Directors Kut Productions, she says, I was very excited from the very first day of my journey, especially after my first meeting with him. It wasn’t for Anupamaa but for Baatein Kuch Ankahee Si. At that time, it didn’t work out for me, but sometimes, that’s how things happen. However, whatever happened was very sudden, and I feel incredibly grateful and blessed. Thanks to Rajan sir for the opportunity and for having faith in me to pull it off. Working with them is on every actor’s wishlist, and it was on mine too. So, it’s a dream come true. Here, everyone is taken care of—not just the characters. Every person, including the directorial team, is appreciated for their work. While working here, I saw how everyone contributes with dedication and passion. Every shot has a purpose; they are not just doing it for the sake of it. The people behind the camera work as hard and with as much dedication as we do. There’s a lot of positive energy because we’re all working together toward the same goal.”
