I wanted to become an actor so that I can live a lot of lives in one – Priyamvada Kant

Priyamvada Kant, who will play the lead role in SAB TV’s Tenali Rama talks about her role and much more.

Bold and beautiful Priyamvada Kant, who has enthralled audience through her portrayals in shows like Santoshi Maa, Swim Team, will be seen in SAB TV’s upcoming sitcom Tenali Rama.

An excited Priyamvada spoke to Indianwikimedia at the launch of the show.

Talking about her new project, she said, “When I was offered the show, I immediately said yes for it. I couldn’t refuse. People told me that the story will be about Tenali Rama but I have heard about the character since childhood. Hence I was very excited.”

She further stated, “Sharda is such a character that if I would have watched her on screen, I would have regretted not doing it. She is so full of life and bubbly. Apart from the look, the character is me. She cribs just like me. After doing Swim Team, I wanted to do something which is a complete contrast. I have never done comedy, so it was challenging for me. I wanted to become an actor so that I can live a lot lives in one.”

When asked about her journey on the small screen, she shared, “I have played so many different characters in such a short span of time. It has been a great journey. I have written for the show Sethji on Zee TV and have also opened my dance academy. This industry has given me a lot. I got a chance to showcase my talent and people have appreciated me.

Not many people are aware that the story of Zee TV’s Sethji was penned by the bubbly actress. She quipped, “I came up with two concepts and they liked both. I am glad Zee was giving a chance to new comers. I feel channels should encourage new talent. I have couple of concepts so will pitch them too. I have not been able to come up with anything for the digital platform. I mostly get influenced with things that are happening around me. I am too filmy; so my stories are also filmy. Sethji is about modernity meeting traditional things. The story is closely related to my real life in a weird way. I fell in love with somebody whose family is very traditional and I have been brought up in a very chilled out atmosphere. We fell in love and there was no way we could marry. I imagined a world where if the two could have got married, this would have been the story. The main lead of the Pragati is the extension of Priyamvada.”

On an ending note, Priyamvada said that currently she is not dating anyone.

Good Luck Priyamvada!
