Colors popular show Thapki Pyar Ki is also set to return with another season. The daily, which wrapped up in July 2017 following a successful two-year run, is back with a new edition. Thapki… featured Jigyasa Singh and Manish Goplani as the lead couple. The story revolved around a cheerful Vaani Chaturvedi, who had a speech impairment, as a result of which she was called Thapki.
Now, one of the popular seasoned actresses Jaya Bhattacharya has been retained in the show along with Jigyasa. Talking about being back on screen with the daily soap, Jaya shares, “I was overjoyed to be back on-screen with Thapki after almost 5 years. It was a wonderful journey from 2015 to 2017 with the show. Now, I am extremely glad that it is happening again. I was accepted and loved as Vasundhara Pandey and I am sure audiences will shower their love on Veena Singhania as well. I am not leaving any stone unturned to deliver the best that I possibly can.”
Commenting about this season, she added, “This season it is a musical background family. I play the role of Veena Singhania who is a big and prominent music personality. The entire family is also involved in music. Thapki is also a singer in the show and that is how she will be connected to our family. Music will be the connecting factor. The look of the show is also awesome. I won’t reveal much and would want audiences to wait and watch.”
Jaya was all praises for Jigyasa Singh, she mentioned: “Jigyasa is a wonderful actor. She is a very cute little girl and we love her. It is great to be working together again. We gelled really well in the first season and the bond continues. We also have a new bunch of talent on board and it is exciting to work with them all. While we are shooting with a new cast, we also miss our old gang.”
