One of the most popular comedy shows, Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashma, completed fourteen years since its start. The show is the most loved TV serial among the audience. The TMKOC team celebrated its 14 years of success by cake cutting and maha aarti as the show stepped into its 15th year.
The actors of TMKOC were present on the set for the celebration. Many of the stars expressed their happiness as the show entered the new year. Some shared this on their social media accounts, and some gave interviews. And now the secretary Aatmaram Bhide aka Mandar Chandwadkar speaking about it.
The actor in an interview thanked the audience who stayed loyal and showered love towards them in all the ups and downs. He also revealed how he bagged the role of Bhide. Mandar revealed that Sonalika Joshi, aka onscreen wife Madhavi Bhide, referred his name to the maker.
The actor shared his experience: “I also enjoy working with Sonalika Joshi, who plays my onscreen wife on the show. She is also a great actress, and I will always be thankful to her because she is the one who referred me to this show. She referred to my name here. She came for an audition in 2008 and called me to inform me that the production house was looking for an actor to play Bhide’s role. She asked me to go and audition for it. Had she not insisted, I would not have bagged this show. We had worked together in a show before doing TMKOC, but our chemistry worked much better here.”
The actor also spoke about his bonding with Dilip Joshi aka Jethalal Champaklal Gada. He revealed that his rapport with Dilip is wonderful. Also that Dilip is his favorite TV actor, and he didn’t think he would work with him on a show together.
