Yogendra Vikram Singh aka Samrat Chavan of Star Plus’ popular show Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin will mostly have a working Diwali this year.
Says Yogendra, “Diwali this year will be a working one for me, as the schedules are very tight. I am working on two projects simultaneously, and managing them has been tough. But yes, whatever time I get, will be with my family and friends. I will love to have good food. Of course, Puja is my priority.”
On his pleasant Diwali memories, Yogendra states, “My childhood memories are of we going to my maternal grandmother’s place. I love sweets. My grandmother used to hide sweets from me. But I used to search for her special places and get them. She had kept the sweet box once above the almirah and I reached at that too. But unfortunately, a fly stung me on my face when I was eating sweets. I had cried a lot, I remember this moment. Also, I have memories of the cracker bursting on my hand and getting injured. Also, I used to cry when I used to get fewer patakas when compared to my cousins and siblings.”
On the significance of Diwali, he states “My hometown is Ayodhya. So we believe that the festival is celebrated to signify Ram’s victory over evil. I believe in burning all the negativity that is in us. Bring out the beauty around you by saving the environment. Spend time with family, eat well and enjoy.”
Happy Diwali to all!!
