Rajshri Rani the talented actress, fresh from her stint in Namak Issk Ka, is seen in the Star Plus show Imlie. She plays the role of Arpita, sister of Fahmaan Khan.
This is the fourth show of Rajshri with Gul Khan’s 4 Lions Films. “When I worked with them for the first time in Yeh Jaadu Hai Jinn Ka, I had a small cameo role. But I loved the way they work. When Namak Issk Ka came across, I enjoyed it a lot. It was like a family, especially when we were all together at Ramoji Rao Sets. Now, I am also doing their Dangal show Sindoor Ki Keemat.”
Having joined Imlie, Rajshri and her husband Gaurav Mukesh are seen in the same show. “I have not yet shot with Gaurav in the show. Let us see if that happens later on. Earlier, we have worked together in Suhaani Si Ek Ladki. But then we were not a couple. It will be interesting to shoot together. I will not take away his freedom at work if we shoot together (smiles).”
Talking about her character, Rajshri states, “Arpita is a family-oriented character. She is very close to her brother Aryan. From the time she has lost her husband, Aryan lives in his past. Now she wants her brother to be happy. She wants to remove him of the guilt. There is a strong relationship shown of the brother and sister.”
“Arpita and Rajshri are very different in personality. It has been tough to hold on to the dialect of Delhi. I am not a sophisticated girl in real life. I am fun loving in real life. Hence Arpita s different,” she talks of the similarity between reel and real life.
Ask her about shoot with Fahmaan, and Rajshri explains, “With Fahmaan Khan, things are rolling well. We clicked well from the first scene. We have to be shown having a lot of fun in our flashback scenes. We had fun shooting for them.”
On balance between work and family, Rajshri avers, “Gaurav’s family lives in Gwalior. It is only us in Mumbai. So there is not much of a difference after marriage. All is well so far. Work and family are manageable.”
Ask her when they will look at extending their family, and Rajshri with a smile says, “All are asking the same question. But we have not thought about it. Focus is on our work. So let us see how the future pans out.”
Best of luck, Rajshri!!
