There is no doubt that dance serves as an exceptional avenue for self-expression, enabling individuals to convey their innermost feelings and thoughts through movement. This vibrant art form not only allows for personal creativity but also plays a vital role in fostering a sense of balance in one’s life. By engaging in dance, people can effectively alleviate work-related pressures, finding a unique outlet to release stress and channel their emotions. In doing so, they nurture their emotional well-being, promoting a healthier and more harmonious state of mind.
Here, we have Garvita Sadhwani talking about her passion for dance. “I genuinely love dancing. In my childhood days, I was a trained classical dancer, having learnt Kathak, Bharatnatyam, and even Kathakali. Later, as I grew up, due to the increased pressure of studies and to excel in the academic fields, I gave up on dancing,” she confides.
Garvita talks about her favourite dance forms that she likes to perform and see. “I like to be as chill as possible and groovy now (smiles). So Bollywood Contemporary is my favourite form of dance presently. Since I am a Bollywood buff, I like all the filmy songs and steps.”
Garvita clearly emphasizes that she would love to go back to her dancing spree again. “I would like to get back to classical dancing when I find time. Maybe when I get free from my show, I plan to restart my dancing routine. I feel I really need to brush up and learn, there are so many talented dancers around me.”
