Talented actor Ikbal Azad will be back on the channel Colors with the new show Sherdil Shergill. Produced by Saurabh Tewari’s Parin Multimedia, the show will be a very unusual love story that will star Dheeraj Dhoopar and Surbhi Chandna as the leads.
The cast and crew of the show recently wrapped their schedule in Moshobra, Shimla.
Ikbal who will play father to the lead girl Surbhi Chandna is quite elated at the opportunity got. “I am happy to be teaming up with Colors again. I have a long association with them with the shows Bepannah and Pinjra Khubsurti Ka with them. Also, this is my second show with Saurabh Tewari.”
Ikbal will play the protective father in the show. “I am happy to have got this role. I play the very caring father here. It is a great feeling to be shooting with Surbhi Chandna.”
A big coincidence that has been coming Ikbal’s way is that he has been getting roles where he has two daughters. “I had two daughters in Bepannah, Pinjra Khubsurti Ka and even now, in Sherdil Shergill. I do not understand my long-standing association with being a father to two daughters. Ironically, in real life too, I have two daughters (smiles). So you can say, I am always blessed with two daughters.”
Ikbal was recently seen in Star Plus’ Vidrohi starring Sharad Malhotra.
