Pretty damsel Saanvi Talwar, who is known for her exceptional acting skills in shows like O’Gujariya – Badlein Chal Duniya, Qubool Hai, Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon 3 and Yeh Kahan Aa Gaye Hum, is currently exploring the theatre medium.

Talking about exploring the new field abroad, she says, “I always wanted to do theatre but I never had any training in acting. Finally, I got a chance and I went ahead and applied for the world theatre academy known by the name of “Stella Adler Acting Theatre” (75-year-old theatre academy in the USA). It’s been a dream come true. My teachers are working professionals in Hollywood, their wisdom and guidance are helping me understand the art of acting in depth.”

She continues, “My experience so far has been amazing. I have explored Los Angeles, San Francisco, Yosemite Valley. I am yet to visit Las Vegas. My favorite so far is Yosemite Valley. Huge mountains, beautiful waterfalls and amazing resorts, the view was jaw-dropping. I also enjoyed San Francisco, loved the city’s culture and upbeat environment. My days are busy from 9 am to 5 pm with classes, and the rest of the time, I explore the city. Weekends are packed with hiking, brunches and local tours. My stay in Los Angeles, aka Hollywood, is full of great surprises. Every single day I am learning a lot of new things and meeting a lot of new actors, filmmakers, and producers. I am totally living out of my comfort zone. East Indians are very well accepted here. I feel welcomed here. People are so cool and crazy at the same time, and of course, passionate.”

Ask how important is learning the art of acting for an actor, and she shares, “It’s very important for every actor to learn and understand the craft of acting. Theatre is all about imagination when you learn that it makes you a powerful actor. It’s also challenging to act in an American accent; it’s totally different from what I am used to. It’s sometimes a challenge to understand others and to be understood. However, I am so happy to be exposed to a new culture. I would definitely come back to Hollywood, the la-la land aka, city of dreams.”

Good luck girl!
