Handsome hunk Hitanshu Jinsi, who is currently impressing audience with his negative portrayal in Colors’ Roop – Mard Ka Naya Swaroop, believes that the industry has taught him a lot and made him a thorough professional.
He says, “I was always fascinated by the Bollywood industry. I come from a middle class family from a small town of Jammu where acting career is not considered as a professional career; so I had to face a lot of criticism for choosing this profession from my parents and relatives.”
He further adds, “I started with street plays and used to get food after performing 3-4 plays in a day. Later, I started doing stage plays and after sometime I realised that this is the profession that I want to choose for myself. I followed my heart and started doing part time job to save some money so that I can move to Mumbai.”
When asked what challenge he had to face throughout his journey, he states, “One of my friends promised me and on his confirmation, I landed in Mumbai but he ditched me and did not support me. I had no idea where to go; so I went to Juhu beach and sat on my luggage watching people running at around 4 am. I smiled and decided that I am ready for the challenges. I started auditioning to get a good role. I have done a lot of acting jobs where nobody recognised me. Gradually I got more responsible characters and finally a role was offered to me in Roop which changed my thoughts.”
Hitanshu feels that the industry does typecast actors. Talking about the same, he says, “I do feel that industry typecasts actors but I also believe that people are not above God. Let’s see where my destiny and hard work takes me. I just want to play good roles that people remember me for a long time. My goal is to get quality work and a responsible role whether it’s films, short films or web-series.”
Good luck, Hitanshu!
