Shiny Doshi, fondly known as Dhara from the Star Plus show Pandya Store, recently celebrated the happy moment of knowing her Mr Perfect, Lavesh Khairajani for three long years!! On the special occasion, Shiny took to social media to announce that she actually got engaged to her man last year!! Shiny and Lavesh were to get married the same year (2020), but unfortunately, the Covid-19 lockdown and restrictions halted their plans.
Says Shiny, “Yes, my engagement happened in January last year. It has been more than a year now. We are very private people and did not want to announce it to the world too very soon. A few days back, we were sitting and talking about all the good memories of knowing each other for three years. Instantly, we decided to break the news of our engagement to the world. We thought that before our marriage pictures come up, we need to announce our engagement (smiles).”
Ask her about wedding plans and Shiny explains, “My family, including my mother, is stuck in Ahmedabad. Lavesh’s family is here with him in Mumbai. We are still trying to figure out the dates for our wedding. But yes, sometime this year for sure!!.”
Shiny goes at length to talk about Lavesh, “More than anything, it is the compatibility and the bond that we share. From day one we connected really well. It was not love at first sight for either of us. But there was a clear understanding that if things worked out, there will be marriage. The relationship did not start on a note that we were not clear of where we were heading to. And when for the first time, we met with our families, we all knew about it. In simple words, we met for marriage. But yes, we both wanted some time to know each other. That’s what we gave each other, and then took to the next step of life when we were sure of it.”
“We got engaged in January 2020, and wanted to get married last year. But the pandemic put a halt to the plans. Even this year, when we decided to plan a date, the lockdown was enforced again,” she explains.
Shiny is going through a professional high and wishes that she sees a personal high too soon. “Good things are coming in for me at both the personal and professional spheres. The best thing I have liked about Lavesh is that he has always been very supportive. He has never pulled me back for anything. From the time he has gotten into my life, everything has happened for good. He is the luck factor in my life right now (laughs). The advice I get from him are amazing.”
“We are into a very mature relationship, where we understand each other very well. We both crave for each other’s progress and success. We want to achieve our dreams together. We are walking together on the same path, with the same goals. It is a blessing to have Lavesh in my life,” Shiny emphatically states.
