Karan Suchak who has always indulged in playing larger-than-life characters on screen recently got the opportunity to fulfil his dream of playing a character, which is connected to the history of India. Karan has always expressed his desire to portray a freedom fighter. And now he will be seen in the mighty role of Mangal Pandey in Contiloe’s Swaraj for Doordarshan.
Karan who has played characters like Lakshman, Dhrishtadyumna, Bajirao etc, will now get to play the character of Mangal Pandey.
Says Karan, “I loved this experience. It is a great feeling to essay the larger-than-life roles. It was a dream to do something, connected to the history of India, especially freedom fighters.”
“I wish that the show gets more viewers and audience. Such shows need to be promoted all the more, as we need to see such shows. This is the history of India. People need to be educated about such historical events of the country,” he adds.
Karan looked the part he played in the role given to him. “However, if given a chance well in advance, I would love to grow hair and moustache for such characters,” adds Karan.
