Young and beautiful diva Isha Malviya is surely stealing the limelight with her exceptional talent as Jasmine Kaur Sandhu in Ravi Dubey and Sargun Mehta’s new show Udaariyaan on Colors.
Not many know that Isha was crowned as the Miss Teen India Worldwide 2019 and also represented India in an international pageant. She also became Miss Madhya Pradesh in 2017 and later became the ‘Shaan of Madhya Pradesh’ in 2018.
Isha got candid with IWMBuzz.com and shared her experience with the show, upcoming twists in the storyline, shoot during the pandemic and more. Read on:
How has the journey been with the show so far?
It is true pleasure for me to be a part of the show Udaariyaan. Working as Jasmine Sandhu in the show has taught me new things. It is my debut show hence I have worked a lot on my character. I am still learning a lot of things. So far, the journey has been great and fun.
Audiences recently witnessed the wedding drama in the daily, how difficult was the shoot for the same?
We recently completed the wedding drama. However, shooting for the same was very difficult for all the characters. It was challenging for me as it was the time when our show was witnessing major twists and turns. It was important for me to bring the change in my character, Jasmine, from a bubbly girl to a mature individual. It was difficult but I was ready for the challenge.
As we have seen, Jasmine is a very ambitious girl, how is Isha in real life? What are your aspirations?
I am ambitious as well like Jasmine but I don’t want to go to Canada as shown in the story. I have many other dreams. If not an actor, I would have been a pilot or cabin crew member or a doctor maybe. I am a very hard-working person. I don’t say no to any task, I take it as a challenge and do it.
You have been winning appreciation for your role. How does it feel? Share any best compliment received so far?
It feels amazing when I see people showering love on my character and me. Udaariyaan my first show. So I was not expecting it but this response and love are heartwarming and overwhelming. I feel lucky and blessed. Udaariyaan is the number 1 show on the channel. I believe whenever you do hard work it pays off. I would like to mention that our producers are also working very hard to make the story and show interesting. I am thankful to Ravi Dubey sir and Sargun Mehta ma’am for this opportunity. The best compliment I have received is from my father. He watched me in the show and told me he is proud of me because I am making my city and my parents proud.
How has been your working experience with your co-stars?
My co-stars Ankit Gupta and Priyanka Choudhary aka Fateh and Tejo are very sweet. My bond with Priyanka is like that of a sister. She teaches me new things. Whenever I am stuck in something, she comes for my help always. Ankit is a bit reserved guy. Whenever I and Priyanka make reels for Instagram, we approach him too but he denies it as he is not a social butterfly. Ankit is very sophisticated, kind, and polite.
How difficult it is to shoot during this pandemic?
It is difficult because it’s not normal anymore. We have to take care of many things. On our set, everyone is very particular about the fact that it is pandemic and we are taking proper precautions. Hence there are no worries as such.
