Talented actress Benaf Dadachandji, who has entertained the masses with a variety of roles on TV, is set to make the audience fall in love with a new role. Baa Bahoo Aur Baby fame Benaf recently entered the show Sony Entertainment Television’s ‘Dhadkan Zindaggi Kii’ wherein she is essaying the role of Dr. Aditi Saxena, the wife of Dr. Vikrant Saxena. How does it feel to be back on TV with Dhadkan Zindagii Kii?
Since COVID has hit the world, we have witnessed that the real heroes are the doctors. It is so good to see that so many TV shows are being created about the medical background. It is inspiring for the youth to choose such a profession. To make a comeback with a show like Dhadkan Zindagii Kii is like a dream come true. My character is very interesting. I know in real life, I can’t become a doctor, but in reel life, I can do that. If any kid gets inspired by us after seeing our show, it would be a big achievement.
What are the upcoming twists that fans can expect?
All the fans who are against extra-marital affairs will support my character, Aditi. But the way the story I shot, no one is technically wrong in their own place. Aditi has been with Vikrant for 10 years, though things aren’t good, Aditi still wants to make it work. Vikrant, on the other hand, thinks when there is no love in a relationship why prolong it. My character’s contribution to the narrative takes the viewers to Vikrant and Deepika’s past and with what’s happening in the current episodes, it’s the right time for Aditi to be introduced. Aditi will bring in a new twist to the story.
What was the reason behind choosing this show?
When I first read the script of Dhadkan Zindaggi Kii and was told about my character Aditi, there was something about her story that really connected with me. There was not one reason to say no. The character, show everything related to the project is amazing, hence I grabbed this opportunity.
What do you like the most about your character?
Aditi is a sweet, kind and happy-go-lucky woman who has been shut away by her husband. She has a lot of layers to her which makes her character challenging for me to essay but I enjoy working with characters that give me a reason to work hard. I love that Aditi’s character is simple yet complex. Aditi knows that her husband does not love her and is not attracted to her. And her husband is attracted to someone else. It is not easy for a woman to feel okay about him having someone else in his life. I love how complex this character is. I am expecting audiences to love me and identify with my role.
How has been your experience working with your co-stars?
It did not feel like I am a new entrant in the show, the entire team gave me a warm welcome and made me feel at ease. Since the time all of us met we have become quite good friends. I have had a blast working with them all. Be it my co-actor Rohit Purohit (Dr. Vikrant Saxena), who plays my husband, he is an amazing co-star and it is easy to work with him. Aditi Gupta (Dr. Deepika Sinha) is a brilliant actress and an amazing person. She is the Barista of our show as she makes great coffee for everyone. Working with Alma, Vidyut, Wasim, Nishant, Raghav is amazing. Both my DOP and director keep the atmosphere light and fun. My experience working on the show has been fab.
