Suman Gupta, the talented actress, who is currently essaying the role of Devaki in Sony Entertainment Television’s Yashomati Maiyaa Ke Nandlala, is a devotee of Lord Krishna in real life. Hence, she feels glad to be portraying Krishna’s mother on TV. Suman said, “I am a loyal devotee of Lord Krishna, and receiving an opportunity to be a part of Yashomati Maiyaa Ke Nandlala is like a blessing. I have been an avid viewer and reader of mythological shows and scriptures and as I grew, my curiosity to understand the logic and purpose behind every story and character grew even more. Also, I am a spiritual person, so my interest level is always high.”

Elaborating more about preparing for the role, she mentioned, “Honestly, I did not go through any workshop or special preparation as I have been a part of many notable mythological shows. My previous experience really helped me get into the skin of Devaki in the best possible way. With my role as Devaki, I feel that it’s my utmost duty to play the role with finesse and bring out the authenticity and realism of my role as perfectly as possible.”

When asked about her working experience with co-stars, she said, “It is great to work with co-stars who are supportive and help improve your craft. Another blessing in the show is working with our director who gives a hundred percent of his time and energy and brings authenticity to the daily.”
