Jijaji Chhat Per Hain is ending at the right time: Hiba Nawab

Hiba Nawab is looking forward to a short break once her Sony SAB show, Jijaji Chhat Per Hain, wraps up in the first week of February.

“After working nonstop (had done Bhaag Bakool Bhaag just before Jijaji Chhat Per Hain), I need a sabbatical to travel and spend time with myself and my family.”

Talking about Jijaji Chhat Per Hain journey she says,“ It was fantastic, for I get a lot of love and support from the fans. I am glad that this Edit II presentation is ending now, for it is always better to bow out with grace. We have already had two years -long run, which is no small feat in TV.”

Looking ahead, she would now want to try out different stuff. “My main aim is to keep my fans happy, so I might do an audience survey to see in which genre they would like to see me next.”

Would you now want to return to drama after having done two back to back comic shows? “Well, I have not yet made up my mind on the same? Both above genres have their plus and minus, and as an artist, if you keep doing one type of role, it does become easier. I have also done drama (Tere Sheher Mein and Meri Saasu Maa), so there is a comfort level in both.” says Hiba, who began her

acting career as a child with shows like Ssshhhh…Phir Koi Hai etc.

Apart from TV, she is also game for trying web series, “Web comes with differentiated content. However, I am not yet ready to go bold. If tomorrow some similar interesting project comes my way, I will then cross the bridge when we come to it.”

Among the Jijaji Chhat cast, she will miss Rashi (Sunita Bawa) the most.“But since we will be regularly meeting offset, we will remain in touch. But yes, I will miss working with her.”

Best of luck, Hiba!!
