Star Plus’ newly launched series Kasautii Zindagii Kay 2 (Balaji Telefilms) has already made its way to the hearts of audience with a gripping story and a wonderful team of actors.
Kasautii Zindagii Kay, an iconic series, made a re-entry into our lives after ten years. Parth Samthaan and Erica Fernandes play the star-crossed lovers in the romantic drama.
Enchanting beauty Antara Banerjee, who entertained audience with her character in &TV’s Badho Bahu, has also bagged a pivotal role in the above show.
In a candid chat with IWMBuzz.com, the actress shares her love to enact characters with varied shades.
She says, “I would love to play the role of a villain or do some intense romantic scenes. I feel that there are so many things that remain unnoticed about a role. People won’t remember a role until and unless there is a shade of grey added to it. I love playing negative shade and don’t worry of getting stereotype. I feel an actor can express more and there is no limitation to the character.”
Talking about Kasauti, she shares, “Kasauti is an iconic show. I was approached for it and got very excited. I immediately gave a nod to the series. I used to watch it in my childhood and I feel blessed to be an integral part of the series now. We have started bonding well on-set. I have more scenes with Sharma family.”
Kasauti opened with a good ratings but the numbers dropped in the second week. Antara feels any show needs time to establish, “Kasauti brings in lot of expectations. There are new characters in this series so it will take time to establish. Audience will have to give time to the show and I am sure it will be loved by all. Ekta ma’am and the entire team are putting a lot of hard work into it. We are sure we will get great results.”
