How has the journey been with the show so far?

My experience has been amazing so far. Through the show, I have learnt immensely. When I was doing my last show, I had heard a lot about the director Vikram Ghai sir, with whom we are working now. I used to talk to my co-stars and tell them that it would be an honour to work with such a talented man. I wished for this to come true. And soon I was called for Kashibai, which is directed by him. I cannot be more grateful. I have also not worked with such an amazing production team. They are caring, and supportive. Overall, it has been wonderful.

The show is gearing up for a big twist with Mastani’s entry, how excited are you and what can audiences expect in the coming episode?

I am very excited about Mastani’s entry. We have seen Mastani, Kashi, and Bajirao in the movie and we know they are iconic roles. This love triangle spices up the drama. When we have three iconic characters I am sure fans are in for a treat. I saw the promo and it is impeccable. Farnaz is doing a fine job as Mastani. I am looking forward to it. I promise that the show is going to be more entertaining now and the fans will surely enjoy it.

What has been the biggest challenge while shooting for the show?

The role of Kashibai is very challenging. I was initially scared. It is a strong and iconic character, which is already hyped up because of the film where the character was played by Priyanka Chopra. She has done a fantastic job. I knew that I would be compared to her. Having said that, I also did not want to watch the movie and replicate what she has done. I was nervous. However, when I went on the set and got into Kashi’s costume, I felt confident. Kashi has an aura and I could feel that. Having said that, it is still challenging and will get more challenging after Mastani’s entry. I am sure that I will try my best and pull it off.

How has been your working experience with co-stars?

I am very fortunate to be working with a talented bunch of co-stars. All these actors are doing a great job. I also want to thank them all for being sweet, hardworking, disciplined, and cooperative. During our scenes, we all are into the character and there is seriousness on set. However, when we have our free time, we enjoy cracking jokes. I am the most mischievous person on set.

How has Kashibai inspired you in real life?

I feel Kashibai has been one of the most inspiring characters for me. When I have my script in my hand and read my scenes. I feel there are some scenes that are so intense where Kashi is being selfless. To be selfless is very different in today’s world. I imagine a woman like her. I put myself in her situation and think that I could never be so selfless. Instead, I would give up and put myself at one point. However, Kashi never does that. She always chooses her duty. She inspires me on many levels.

What is the special skill of Kashibai that you want to imbibe in yourself?

I am awestruck by how Kashibai reacts to certain situations in her life. Be a mother, daughter, sister, or wife, it is amazing to see how she manages everything beautifully. One thing I really like is that even if the world is against her, the belief she has in herself is amazing. This really surprises me. Personally, even when I grow up, I think I will always cherish the lessons and try to imbibe them in my own life. I am in love with Kashibai.

What do you aim to become in life, any inspiration?

Right from my childhood, I have dreamt of becoming an actor. It was a dream then and now it’s my aim. I did not come to Mumbai and gave an audition. I was in my hometown when I got an opportunity. I feel like I manifested it so much right from my childhood that it naturally happened to me. I want to become a good actor. My mother has been an inspiration. She is a very strong woman. When it comes to acting, I look up to a lot of actors.

Any final message

I want to say that whatever I am today is because of the love of my fans. I want to thank them for all the love and also the criticism. You all are my everything. Keep me in your prayers and continue to shower your love. I would request all the fans to keep showering their love on us. We promise to entertain you. I would also want to tell them to stay safe and healthy.
