Talented actor Akash Pratap Singh, who has enthralled audience in shows and movie like Haasil, Shaadi Jasoos and Baby, is all set to win hearts on the big screen.
Akash will be part of Khejdi, the upcoming Hindi will premier in Kashish Film Festival on 24 May, 2018. The movie is directed by Rohit Dwivedi and will also feature Ashish Sharma and Yashraj M Jadhav.
Talking about the film, he shares, “Khejdi is very close to my heart because it’s something where I took a lot of time to get into the look of the character and catch the perfect accent. The whole process of workshops that I, Ashish bhaiya (Sharma) and our teacher Yashraj sir, who is also a primary part of the film had together been amazing. This was something that we don’t get to do on TV. Also one of the most important reasons is that my nani passed away just before the shoot started and I was in a mess as she was really close to me. But at that time Archana di (Taide) who is also my Producer encouraged me and told me to do it for her. Lot of effort has gone in as where we stayed was a proper village with no TV. We shot in a desert but at the end we were all working for a great script.”
He continues, “What is not us, we fear.. What we fear, we despise.. What we despise, we destroy.. Let’s embark on a journey to discover your identity. This is the theme of the film. It is the story of self discovery and journey of a person with this society.”
When asked what attracted him to the film, he says, “I was actually driving to Yashraj casting for an audition when I got Archana di’s call and she told me that she has seen my work on TV and is considering me for the part. And then she narrated the script.Without even thinking, I said I would do it if I pass the audition. Then, I auditioned and was immediately finalized. In fact, she said you are only doing this character.”
So how was your experience working with Ashish Sharma? “It was very nice right from the first day at his place where I went for the workshop. He is extremely humble, talented, fun loving at the same time very hardworking which inspires me a lot.”
Good luck for the film!
