Delhi boy Krrip Kapur Suri always dreamt of becoming a successful actor and has established his presence in the industry within a short period of time. An avid football player and an ardent photography lover, Krrip charmed audiences across the nation with his powerful portrayal of Raahukaal in ‘Sadda Haq’ and his outstanding performance in ‘Kalash’.
Krrip is now enacting the role of Adhiraj in Zee TV’s latest offering Jeet Gayi Toh Piyaa Morre (Jay Mehta Productions).
“I had no work and I was looking for a good opportunity. I got this offer and grabbed it. This is something which is different from what I have done in the past. I have different mannerisms and as an actor, I am getting a chance to perform and see my own potential. I feel bad when I turn too harsh on-screen. I am very different in real life so sometimes it becomes difficult. However, it is my job and I am paid for it. I am an actor and I am here to entertain. I have to be cruel and harsh, if the script demands.”
After Kalash’s success, Krrip feels that there is pressure to make this show popular too, “I always try my best and will do the same for my new venture. We, as a team, are working very hard and let’s see how things pan out. I believe in God. He will help us to make this one successful too.”
When we quiz Krrip about the show’s concept depicting orthodox thought of a wife living in troubled relationship, he avers, “These kind of things are prevalent in small town. Our motive is to give positive message. If there is a guy like Adhiraj, he should feel that he is wrong and for such a husband, a wife should be like Devi, who should fight for her happy marriage. It will try to bring change in the society.”
Sharing how important TV is for him, he adds, “For me, TV is school and gurukul. It is something which has given me a lot… name, fame and recognition. An actor is an actor, be it in the space of small or big screen. TV has a lot of power and is in everyone’s house. It helps you to earn that audience which is not able to come to theatre.”
Krrip believes that life is very uncertain for everyone not only for an actor, he quips, “Life is very unpredictable and uncertain. The show Pehredaar Piya Ki was destined to shut hence it happened. We are nobody to judge. They worked very hard so unfortunate for them. I never want any show to shut as everybody works hard so they should get a chance to make their mark.”
Krrip says that his mom is his role model, “I don’t look up to any big personality or read any book because my mom is my role model. She motivates me a lot.”
Finally, talking about his co-star, he ends, “Yesha (who plays Devi) is very nice. It is not my show. It is our show so we work together. She is new to the industry and this is her debut so I help her. I personally believe that a show works only if the team is very supportive and co-operative. I look back when there was nobody to teach or help me. When I get to help anyone I do extend my support. She is learning and growing.”
we wish Krrip and team Jeet Gayi success and growth.
