Siddhaanth Vir Surryavanshi, the talented actor, pageant mentor, and emcee has got back with a bang with the lead role in Zee TV’s newly launched show Kyun Rishton Mein Katti Batti produced by Arvind Babbal.
This will be a comeback of sorts for Siddhaanth on Zee TV.
“I am getting back to Zee TV after 13 years. It is a channel where I have delivered good shows in the past with Saat Phere, Sindoor Tere Naam Ka, Mamta. This time, the streak will definitely continue and will get better.”
Says Siddhaanth, “We are getting a good response for the show. There is a realistic touch in the drama quotient. We are excited and hopeful of the show doing really well.”
Talking about the role, he states, “Yes, I have got a good role. It is a challenging role, difficult to portray. Kuldeep is on the greyer side for sure. He is a typical Punjabi guy, a chauvinist you can say. He is a bit arrogant about his own talent, is over-ambitious. It is his struggle to find the balance between his family and ambition. Eventually, it is about whether he will take drastic steps to achieve his ambition or not.”
“The concept of the show is very unique. It is about how marriages are bound together or kept together because of the children. This is a concept that has not been tackled on Indian television. The kids in the show are really sweet.”
“TV has always been my first love. I have got a lot from the television industry. Of course, I love to explore other things. I have been into anchoring beauty pageants and have worked for the web platform too. Having said that, I have got a lot from the TV industry. Last year, I was part of Sufiyana Ishq. In the last five years, I have done four shows which were different in Suryaputra Karn, Waaris, Sufiyana Ishq. The good thing is that I am playing different kinds of characters. The idea is that people need to think that I can carry out varied roles. I am happy that I am getting to play this kind of role at this phase of my life. I am happy that the makers have confidence in me. The good feeling is that I have not been typecast. This show has a good story, a rock-solid team.”
On working with Neha Marda he explains, “Neha is a good person to work with. The kids are fabulous. The atmosphere is very good and there is a positive vibe on the set. Working with good people makes all the difference.”
The USP of the show we ask Siddhaanth and he says, “The vision is perfect. The show has a great team with Arvind Sir and Purnendu ji and his team of writers. We are in good hands.”
Siddhaanth has big expectations from the show. “This is going to be my biggest show. We are hopeful of having a very good journey.”
