Life becomes easy, when you are surrounded by positive and smiling faces – Shrenu Parikh

Shrenu Parikh talks about her Dil Boley Oberoi and Ishqbaaaz journey...

Shrenu Parikh who had returned to TV after a long break with the spin off of Ishqbaaaz titled Dil Boley Oberoi on Star Plus has no qualms that the latter has been merged with the main show.

Says Shrenu, “I have loved the journey; so far my character has had lots of meat. We have a great team. Gul Mam takes great care of her characters.”

Ask her about the buzz that the channel is now planning to make Ishqbaaaz which is currently running for one hour to half hour, and will that affect her character graph, she categorically says, “As of now we have no information about the change, so can’t comment on the same..What will happen down the road will entirely depend on the writer and creative team, what I can say.”

On her journey so far in the show, Shrenu exclaims, “It was quite a task to start with the spin off , especially because I was back after a long gap. But I am glad for now Gauri Sharma has become a house hold name, her tone and dialogue delivery are poles apart from me. One more positive factor about the show is that all the co-stars (Kunal Jaisingh, Nakuul Mehta and Leenesh Mattoo etc) are fun to work with. Life becomes easy, if you are surrounded with positive and smiling faces.”

On the reasons for shutting the spin off she says, “I guess audiences did not like the characters being divided and they also wanted to see the entire family together. Since I was also a part of Ishqbaaaz, it became quite a logistical and creative challenge to shoot two different shows keeping a common time lap.”

Besides TV, Shrenu who is also trying her hand at films, and awaits the release of her Gujrati film. “It is kinda delayed, we are still dubbing, as the team needs to keep coming down to Mumbai from Ahmedabad.”

Her first Hindi film Thodi Thodi Si Manmaaniyan also sank without a trace. “No regrets, I just took it as an experience. Also today it is very difficult to get a right release. When a film starring Ayushman Khurana does not get enough screens, where do we stand a chance.”

Shrenu, wish you luck!!
