In a short and sweet conversation with us, Anjali expressed her happiness for bagging a role for her sheer talent. “I am glad that the role I will play is not a stereotypical one, wherein my look has not been considered. I like the fact that this role has nothing about being fat. I am just being cast as a girl for a certain character. It feels nice to know that people are accepting such ideas.”
Lovely, her character will be the wife of the musician Sikander, played by Mohit Malik. Lovely will be the negative lead in the show.
Without giving out much about her character, the girl chose to say, “It will be very different from what you have seen me before. I just hope viewers still love me. I am the same person, playing a different character (smiles). This is a good challenge; it will give me room to learn more and I will work hard to get it right.”
On choosing a negative role, Anjali avers, “I think as an actor it is really good for me. Yes, I know that I will be at a stage where my fans will suddenly start hating me for what I play (laughs). But I do not consider my role as totally negative, it is different and grey. I am sure that viewers will love Lovely for the way she acts and reacts to situations.”
