Supermodel Lopamudra Raut is quite happy with her ongoing reality show Khatron Ke Khiladi (Colors) stint.
“It has been superb having beaten strong contenders like (Ravi (Dubey), Rithvik (Dhanjani) and Manveer (Gurjar). I have shown that I am much more than a just a pretty gal when it comes to performing stunts,” says the lovely lady in a chat with IndianWikiMedia.com.
Ask about the reason for signing up for this really physically and mentally challenging show and she says, “I don’t want to prove anything to anyone. I only wanted to see if I was capable of doing many different things. The fact that I have reached so far has only made me more confident and empowered as a person.”
She regards putting a snake in her mouth as her toughest task till date.
About the camaraderie on the show she says, “I sure had a great bonding as it comes naturally to me given my sports background. Even if I was in an elimination face off I would still cheer my opponent. Like I hugged Nia (Sharma) when she was very scared during her stunt with me. Having been a supermodel (Miss United Continents India 2016) now I am beyond winning and losing, it’s about being more concerned about facing my own demons during the above tasks.”
Among the contestants Lopa bonded the most with Hina (Khan) and Geeta (Phogat).
Looking ahead, Lopa who was first noticed in small screen space in Bigg Boss last year, does not want to do any more reality show, “I have had my fill of this genre and am now on the lookout for bigger and more interesting projects.”
In closing we ask her about the digs she got from her co- contestants regarding her makeup. “I don’t think you should pay more attention to such things. Most of the fun things which we do on the show are rehearsed, and we do it as a team. All is cool for being part of one of the biggest rating shows on TV, we are doing just what the doctor ordered i.e. providing entertainment to the masses.”
“And last but not the least, I am not the only one to apply makeup everyone does, we all need to look good, so what is the fuss about,” she signs off.
We wish you all the best, Lopa.
