Maa Kali’s character is stronger than the lead roles I have done before: Ishita Ganguly
Star Bharat’s popular mytho show ‘Jag Jaanani Maa Vaishno Devi – Kahani Mata Rani Ki’ has launched recently, which has won accolades among the audience. Ishita Ganguly who is essaying the role of Maa Kali has impressed everyone with her brilliant acting. This is the first time that Ishita is playing a parallel lead. So when spoken to the talented actress about her experience playing the parallel she had lots to say.
Ishita Ganguly says, “That I consider myself very lucky that this character has chosen me. Being a Bengali, Mother Kali is worshiped with great reverence here, but this character is very important to me. It is far above the lead and parallel lead character. It is very difficult to play this character where you have to carry a very heavy look. I have also been given intense dialogue, for which I am very grateful to Star Bharat and the show.”
In such a situation, it is known that Ishita Ganguly’s Maa Kali character is paramount to the other characters that she has done before. “I am learning a lot from this character. I am getting a chance to play many shades. While Maa Kali is known for her raudra form, there are other forms like a mother, a wife, and Adishakti. In the current track of the show, I am playing the role of Maa Parvati, for which I consider myself very lucky.”
