Aishwarya Khare has been popularly known for her lead role of Lakshmi in the Zee TV show Bhagya Lakshmi. Her chemistry with actor Rohit Suchanti in the show, has been a hit. The trials and tribulations of Lakshmi in the show, have always seen a good response. Aishwarya, like many, has special memories too from the festival. She cannot resist holding herself back from enjoying the festive mouth-watering treats made during the occasion.

Talking about the significance of the festival for her, she says, “Makar Sankranti is celebrated with so much energy and excitement here in Mumbai. People gather on their terraces early in the morning, flying kites, playing music, and enjoying delicious sweets and festive treats. It’s such a joyful sight! I have a few friends who celebrate it with their families, and I often join them.”

On her favourite delicacies, Aishwarya lists out, “I absolutely love indulging in til ke laddoos, undhiyu with puris, and ghajak—Makar Sankranti treats are truly irresistible!”

“I have also heard so much about the grand celebrations in Gujarat, where the sky is filled with vibrant kites of all shapes and sizes. It’s like a festival of colours in the air. Experiencing that one day is definitely on my bucket list. Makar Sankranti is a beautiful reminder of togetherness, gratitude, and new beginnings.
