The Hindi TV industry sees many newbies debuting on the small screen; and one such pretty debutant is Jaipur girl, Garima Singh Rathore, who is playing the female protagonist Siya, in Zee TV’s supernatural show, Manmohini.
Talking about how she bagged the show, Garima says, “I was talking to someone on the phone at the airport, about my future plans. At the same time, producer Prateek Sharma spotted me at the Mumbai airport and asked me to audition for Siya’s character. I found it weird but I auditioned for it, and to my surprise, got selected.”
She further adds, “I had never thought of getting into acting, as I wanted to focus on my studies first. But now that I have stepped into this industry, I feel I can go a long way. I am enjoying this new phase of my life. I have got an opportunity to introspect on a new version of me in the field of acting.”
When asked how her first meeting with her co-star, Ankit Siwach was, she shares, “Our first meeting was strange but wonderful. I learnt more about the Ram character played by Ankit. It was very supportive to Siya’s character, which is played me. I find Ankit similar to his character, hence we bonded well. He is very supportive. Our chemistry is amazing, which can clearly be seen on-screen.”
Garima feels content is the game changer of any show. “Our content and how well we are portraying it matters the most. The story telling should be strong as that attracts the audience the most. We are trying our best and hope that the audience likes our show. We would request them to watch the series and give us their support,” ends Garima.
Good luck girl!
